Support and Maintenance Services to End
Instrument Manager™ (IM) version 8.16.20 and older versions* will reach End of Life (EoL) on January 1, 2026. In accordance with Data Innovations’ product lifecycle policy, a product version that reaches EoL will no longer be supported by DI.
This means that beginning January 1, 2026, in accordance with the IM product lifecycle schedule:
- DI will no longer provide support services for IM v8.16 and older versions or their associated applications and drivers. The DI Support Team will only offer limited assistance to restore Instrument Manager to a functional state, which may include recommending an upgrade to a supported version.
- DI will no longer accept requests for driver development or enhancements for IM v8.16 and older versions. This continues the policy from the versions’ End of Maintenance (EoM) phase, which began February 1, 2024.
- Requests for driver development and/or driver enhancements for these versions will no longer be accepted, as continued from the versions’ EoM stage, which began February 1, 2024.
- Core software for IM v8.16 and older versions will no longer be downloadable or accessible from My DI Community.
- DI services for workflow consulting will no longer be available for these versions.
Upgrading to a Fully Supported IM Version
For these reasons, DI strongly urges customers to upgrade to a fully supported version of Instrument Manager — currently IM v9.0 (also known as IM 2023) — which offers improved security, enhanced performance, and new workflow capabilities. Learn more on our Instrument Manager page.
There is no additional cost for software to upgrade to your IM system if you have a valid Maintenance and Support agreement with DI. We want our customers to have the best experience with IM, which is why we encourage you to take advantage of our newest version.
